CA400EXTDOS PCSXI V3R11 MEMORY PROBLEMS

** Last updated 01/29/97 **

PCSXI.EXE was modified in V3R11 in order to use Upper Memory
Blocks (UMB) memory. This change will allow Client Access for
DOS Extended to use less conventional memory if UMB are
available.

Client Access for DOS Extended V3R11 has been having some
compatibility problems when running with other programs that
use UMB. In order to avoid these problems, customers can
specify the "/u" parameter with PCSXI as follows:
    PCSXI /u

This parameter indicates to PCSXI not to use UMB.
When using the "/u" parameter PCSXI.EXE V3R11 will work as
PCSXI.EXE V3R1.

PCSXI.EXE uses the services of a memory manager called DOS16M
which was developed by TENBERRY (formerly Rational Systems).
This code was developed to work on machines with a maximum of
16M of memory. TENBERRY claims that machines with more than
16M of memory are not supported. This environment may work
but it is not supported by TENBERRY.

The above restriction applies to all versions of PCSXI.EXE
